Cowboys Get Positive Update on La'el Collins Following MRI

The Dallas Cowboys' standout offensive line appeared to lose one of their stalwarts on the right side, but the official medical diagnosis appears to be much more optimistic for La'El Collins.

Collins injured his knee during the Cowboys' loss against the Green Bay Packers Sunday evening, but an MRI came back negative, and Collins is viewed as day-to-day.

After a wildly up and down start to his career, Collins has been able to settle in at right tackle for Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. After five games this season, Pro Football Focus has him graded as an "elite" offensive tackle thanks to his 90.1 overall grade. He has just two penalties and one sack allowed in 311 offensive snaps.

Against the likes of Preston Smith, Cam Jordan, and Ryan Kerrigan, Collins has flat-out dominated.

Kellen Moore wants Dak to drop back and pick apart the defense deep down the field. That mission statement is going to be nearly impossible to put into practice if Collins is forced to miss an extended period of time.
