Cowboys Fans Need to Watch Tony Pollard During Preseason Opener
By Michael Luciano

Cowboys fans may still be feeling a bit sad about Ezekiel Elliott's declaration that he won't play unless he gets a new contract, but that's still no excuse to not tune in to their preseason opener against the San Francisco 49ers.
All signs point to fourth-round pick Tony Pollard getting the start, and his electric style of play is sure to delight Cowboys fans.
Can't stop thinking of how impressive Tony Pollard looked while I was in Oxnard for 2 days. Running style reminds me of Lenny Moore (Google if you're under 40). I know Cowboys want to sign Zeke, but they have great insurance in Pollard. Either way, he'll be involved this year. pic.twitter.com/hnpxmQaPew

After Rams rookie Darrell Henderson seized the RB1 role, Pollard reinvented himself as a true offensive weapon, serving as Memphis' backup running back and slot wide receiver. With 552 yards rushing and 458 yards receiving, Pollard proved that he could handle both responsibilities.
Pollard, who showed off his 4.5 speed at the Senior Bowl and at the NFL Combine, is perhaps best known for his skill as a returner, where he set a record with seven kickoffs returned for touchdowns.
It's pretty simple. Give Pollard the ball and good things happen. Memphis figured that out. Will Moore and the Cowboys come to that realization?
Tony Pollard could be the gem of the Cowboys’ 2019 draft class. Kellen Moore wants to use him like Cohen/Kamara as a change of pace runner/receiver.

Outstanding camp so far... we get our first glimpse tomorrow night against San Francisco.
Pollard has a long way to go before he can be Zeke, but he'll have his first chance to show off his elusive running style against the 49ers.
