Cowboys Adorable Strategy to Stop Aaron Donald Was Apparently Just to Praise Him All Week

Dallas seems preoccupied and seemingly star struck with an upcoming foe, and that's probably not the ideal thought process for a team ahead of a must-win game.

The Dallas Cowboys have a tough task ahead of them in the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday and while they have been game-planning to stop Aaron Donald, the team has also been very complimentary of his play.

Instead of giving any form of insight on how to stop the two-time Defensive Player of the Year, the Cowboys' players and coaches just insist on talking about how great a game-wrecker Donald is.

While they may be right, that isn't the way that Dallas should approach this crucial game. Rather than showering him with praise, the Cowboys need to be figuring out ways to keep him from getting after Dak Prescott.

Don't be surprised to see the Cowboys perform something similar to what the Seattle Seahawks did to Donald in last week's game. Then again, that may not be the smartest thing to do given the scoreline at the end of last week's showdown.

Donald is going to be a wrecking ball in the trenches no matter what, but gassing him up ahead of the game is probably not the best way to mitigate his impact.
