Cowboys Add Depth Behind Dak Prescott With Flyer on FBS QB
By Mark Powell

It's been a tough NFL Draft for the Pitt Panthers, with no alum drafted to this point. Yet, a James Madison QB and former Pitt transfer is off the board!
Ben DiNucci progressed after leaving the Steel City, leading JMU to the upper ranks of FBS. Just last season, he notched 29 touchdowns to just six interceptions, also flexing his muscle in the running game.
On Saturday, the Dallas Cowboys took a flyer on DiNucci, adding him to their depth chart behind Dak Prescott.

It's unlikely DiNucci ever sees the field in Dallas, but he could find a place on the Cowboys practice squad as he tries to earn a role in the NFL.
The Cowboys are lite at QB behind the durable Prescott, featuring Cooper Rush and Clayton Thorson, the latter of which DiNucci may have to beat out to avoid getting cut this summer.

As the Cowboys move towards a likely contract extension for Prescott, they've ensured (for now) that should he go down, they're in somewhat capable hands.
