This Coronavirus-Killing Drone Might Actually Bring Fans Back to Sporting Events Sooner

Bottom line: the likelihood of sports being played in any capacity is something leagues have to figure out before anything else. Getting fans back in attendance is the next, and arguably tougher, step.
Seats will need to be sanitized, and that alone presents a logistical issue, with tens of thousands of chairs in certain arenas. One company in Syracuse has modified a drone that would make this a much easier task without a team of people wiping down every chair by hand, and we...we hope we can trust it.

The drone is capable of spraying disinfectant on seats, while a second drone makes sure the hose used is accurate, and not just wildly spraying throughout the arena.
This helps speed up the process, and doesn't put any employee in harm's way.
This is innovative and sports related. The disinfecting system has been tested in Buffalo at KeyBank Center and Sahlen Field along with the Oncenter War Memorial Arena in Syracuse. https://t.co/RGPmAAmyIB

The system has been tested in Syracuse and Buffalo, and is one inspiring innovation that could help get fans in the stands sooner rather than later. The goal now is to expand the technology and make it available for every arena and stadium in the country. Doing that could be a huge breakthrough, and would have people around the country thanking drones for saving sports.
