There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks regarding the passion of the Green Bay Packers fan base. Former Packers executive and current Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey called "The Dawg Pound" more passionate than the Cheeseheads in Green Bay.

As if fans weren't offended enough, they got their blood pumping on Wednesday.

During an appearance on Aaron Nagler's podcast "Nagler's Never Right," Packers center Corey Linsley took a shot at the Gold Package crowd by comparing their passion to English Premier League fans. And no, it was nowhere near a glowing comparison.

In case you didn't know about what it means to be a member of the Gold Package crowd, it's the fans who previously held Packers tickets in Milwaukee, and are now grandfathered into Lambeau games, much to the fans' chagrin. In that deal, those fans are assigned the preseason "Shrine" game, and second and fifth regular season home games.

As you heard, Linsley called the Gold Package fans "chill," saying they don't evoke the same type of emotion as Green Bay's regular home crowd. Players build off the energy from the crowd, and by Linsley's comments, the Milwaukee folks do little to help them.

Linsley's comments aren't exactly going to build growth in that Milwaukee fan base, but hey, at least they have the Bucks.
