After two subpar seasons in Los Angeles and New York left his NFL career on life support, pass rusher Connor Barwin is trying to recapture the glory days by linking back up with the team he had his best years with.

Barwin has had preliminary talks with Eagles GM Howie Roseman about a return to Philadelphia, where Barwin played for four seasons. He has bulked up to 270 pounds in order to facilitate a move to 4-3 defensive end.

After spending his first four years in the NFL as a Houston Texan, Barwin signed with the Eagles and immediately flourished. During that time, Barwin racked up 31.5 sacks, including 14.5 in a year where he made his first and only Pro Bowl in 2014.

While Barwin's days as a starter have passed him by, he still has enough juice left to provide Philly with a veteran edge rusher, and there will always be a market for pass-rushing depth.

Barwin seems to have fallen in love with the City of Brotherly Love and is welcoming a role back with an Eagles team primed and ready to go ring chasing.
