Commanders tried trading for Russell Wilson

The Seattle Seahawks have made it quite clear they won't be trading Russell Wilson this offseason, but that hasn't stopped the Commanders from making a move. And they were serious about things.
According to Ian Rapoport, Washington indeed put a package on the table for a Wilson deal. Seattle told them thanks, but no thanks.
How serious are the #Commanders in their search for a QB? Sources say they made a strong offer to the #Seahawks on Russell Wilson. It didn’t go anywhere. But a sign Washington is ready to deal. And given what they have on their roster, they may be a QB away.

Wilson trade rumors continue to fly, but both Pete Carroll and John Schneider said that they don't plan on sending the star signal-caller anywhere. Teams like Washington can keep trying in this case, but nothing is going to get done. Wilson is Seattle's QB for the long haul.
