The D'Onta Foreman experiment in Indianapolis ended as quickly as it began.

After the former Texas star was cut by the Houston Texans, Foreman latched on with a division rival in Indianapolis. However, he ended up on Injured Reserve with a torn bicep.

As a result, the Colts opted for a more speedy back that could catch out of the backfield. They inked former Kansas City Chiefs running back Charcandrick West.

West, originally signed an undrafted free agent out of Abilene Christian, recorded 998 yards on the ground, 589 yards through the air, and 15 total touchdowns while in Kansas City.

While West will likely be fourth on the depth chart, that speaks to the depth Frank Reich and Chris Ballard have in their running backs room.

With unquestioned No. 1 Marlon Mack gunning for 1,000 yards, Nyheim Hines emerging as one of the best pass-catching backs in all of football, and fifth-round pick Jordan Wilkins actually out-rushing Hines last year, Indianapolis has quite the stable of backs for Andrew Luck to choose from.

It remains unclear where and how he will contribute, but West more than deserves to be in the league, giving Colts another offensive weapon.
