Andrew Luck's health is forever a storyline for the Indianapolis Colts, and as he entered his first training camp in quite some time without prevailing injury issues, we thought we were in the clear.

Not so much.

Luck is set to miss the next week of practice with his calf injury, which had been nagging him since the start of camp. We repeat: were this any other player, you'd have nothing to be concerned about. But considering Luck has fought off potentially career-threatening ailments in the past, any injury the Colts are trying to keep under wraps is an issue at this juncture.

Frank Reich is saying all the right things. This is surely precautionary, or so the Colts want us to believe. We are no conspiracy theorists, but a player with the injury history of Luck doesn't randomly face lingering issues. Everything causes fans to worry, as it should.

The Colts are considered a dark horse contender to win the AFC this season, and potentially take down the Houston Texans in the AFC South. Yet, any lingering issue with Luck basically takes Indy out of the running, even with Jacoby Brissett in town.

We appreciate Luck and the Colts for not publicly sounding the alarms, but Colts fans aren't new to this. Until they see the former Stanford signal-caller delivering precise passes in Week 1, they'll forever proceed with caution.
