Collin McHugh Thanks Houston in Heartfelt Twitter Thread After Entering Free Agency

After a tragic Game 7 World Series loss for the Houston Astros, it's looking like some significant names won't be back on the roster for next season.

The player with the highest profile who may be on the move is pitching stud and current free agent Gerrit Cole, who sent a message to Astros fans which could very well be interpreted as a goodbye.

Reliever Collin McHugh is also expected to be on the move, as he had his team option declined by Houston. McHugh wrote a heartfelt message on Twitter, but this one was way more personal than Cole's.

McHugh starts off the letter by talking about his humble beginnings trying to find a job in the MLB, and how Houston became his family's home because of their hospitality and the ups and downs he experienced in the city.

Even non-Houston fans have to be tearing up at this amazing post. McHugh discussed his father's battle with cancer, which he was diagnosed with back in 2014.

We wish the absolute best for McHugh and his family moving forward.
