The "Border War" rivalry between the Missouri Tigers and the Kansas Jayhawks has lain dormant since the Tigers decided to join the SEC when conferences realigned in 2011. Fans desperate for a renewal of this rivalry series saw their thirsts quenched when it was renewed for a home-and-home during the 2025-26 and 2031-32 seasons.

So what other rivalries do college football fans want to see return in full force? How about these three?!

3. Florida-Miami

For as much as these two teams hate each other, Florida and Miami have played just seven times since the 1987 season, taking separate hiatuses of 11 and five seasons before their 2019 season-opening matchup. It makes sense as to why Florida wouldn't want this game to become a yearly thing, as they already play Florida State as a non-conference team from the ACC, but the drama and action of their Week 0 tussle last year proves we need to see this rivalry renewed once again.

2. Texas-Texas A&M

No conference was hit harder by realignment than the Big 12, as the two best teams in Texas can no longer play each other after A&M went to the SEC. But the time is perfect for this rivalry to get back on track. Texas has fallen from their historic dominant perch, meaning that A&M can take them head on. Outside of a Cowboys home game against an NFC East team, there would be no bigger football game in the state of Texas on an annual basis if these two programs agree to re-start this rivalry.

1. Oklahoma-Nebraska

For a large chunk of the Big Eight's existence, either the Sooners or Cornhuskers would be taking home the conference title. With coaching legends like Bud Wilkinson and Tom Osborne having roamed the sidelines for both programs, this has to be the biggest rivalry that went by the wayside after Nebraska bizarrely joined the Big 10. While Nebraska is not the dominant program it was in the 90s, going back down to Norman could give them a chance to steal a win away from the Sooners and reclaim their glory.
