Much of the world right now is distracting us from sports, but we simply cannot allow a guy like Colin Cowherd to get away with this. His outlandish takes will not go under the radar.

As Dak Prescott continues his financial holdout with the Cowboys, Cowherd played a game of "Dis or Dak," surprisingly choosing the young Jets quarterback Sam Darnold over Prescott.

Check out the full segment below, including all of Cowherd's decisions.

Cutting straight to the Dak vs. Darnold debate, Cowherd made his opinion clear. "Sam Darnold. He's a playmaker. He's a first round quarterback." So he's better because Dak was a fourth-rounder?

He made some sense, but at that point it was too late. "Sam hasn’t had any help so far. If you give Sam Dak’s people and Dak Sam’s people surrounding him… Sam Darnold today is favored to win that division."

Much of Cowherd's admiration for Darnold likely stems from his phenomenal run to end last year for the Jets. Following a rocky start to his career, Darnold led the Jets to a 6-2 finish in 2019, upping his efficiency and production down the stretch.

Cowherd's take comes off with a bit of hopeful optimism though. Yes, Darnold finished strong last season, but that does not undo his previous inconsistencies or overcome Dak's successes. Also, how do you rank objectively worse QBs such as Josh Allen and Jimmy Garoppolo? Also, only "slightly" Dak over Teddy Bridgewater??

You can argue Dak has a lot of help, but he has individually performed regardless, placing his name with some of the NFL's best quarterbacks across many noticeable stat categories.

Cowherd's choice is likely driven by the amount the Cowboys will have to fork over for Dak, raising questions of his value, not necessarily of his talent. The better quarterback in a lot of these cases is Prescott. But the better buy? That is an entirely different conversation.
