Cole Beasley Still Whining About Cowboys' Disrespect Proves He Was Never Meant to Be in Dallas

Cole Beasley's story almost seemed straight from Hollywood. Born in Houston, he was an under-recruited kid from Little Elm who had to fight for playing time at SMU in Dallas. He went undrafted, but again managed to carve out a role as a key contributor on the Cowboys.

His divorce with Dallas, however, has been far from rosy, as Beasley has been firing off salvo after salvo against the Cowboys ever since he signed his deal with the Buffalo Bills.

Either one of two things is happening here. Option No. 1 is the idea that Beasley hated Dallas with evey fiber of his being and longed for an opportunity elsewhere. This is extremely unlikely. Why would the local kid who went undrafted and is guaranteed targets every game want to leave for Buffalo?

Option No. 2 is what likely happened. Beasley wanted to stay in Dallas, asked for the world -- he originally wanted $20 million guaranteed -- and took the Cowboys offer as a lowball and disrespectful.

Even if that's the case, staying that salty about it helps no one. You sound like that guy who can't get over his ex that left him four years ago.

Since refusing to give a receiver without a 1,000-yard season in seven years $20 million guaranteed is apparently disrespectful, Beasley is set to prove the haters wrong with an inaccurate second-year quarterback in Josh Allen, a defensive head coach in Sean McDermott, and a second-year OC in Brian Daboll. Good luck!
