Dabo Swinney, Trevor Lawrence, and Clemson will begin their title defense against an ACC foe in Georgia Tech, led for the first time by former Temple head coach Geoff Collins. The Tigers had no issue with Tech the last time around, beating the Yellow Jackets 49-21 last season.

Lawrence, Travis Etienne, and a Clemson team favored to win it all again are expected to run over Georgia Tech with little effort. Lawrence, who threw 30 touchdowns last year against just four picks, has his eyes set on a Heisman Trophy as well as another championship.

Collins has neglected to name a starting quarterback for this game in an attempt to throw defensive coordinator Brent Venables for a loop. The favorite to get thrown to the lions is redshirt sophomore Lucas Johnson.

Unless Collins and the Yellow Jackets pull off a miracle, expect Clemson to take their season opener handily.
