The Los Angeles Rams parted ways with both running back Todd Gurley and linebacker Clay Matthews after disappointing 2019 seasons, but that doesn't mean the drama between these two and the organization is over just yet.

Gurley, who signed with the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, claims that the Rams owe him a guaranteed roster bonus that they haven't paid yet. And now we've learned Matthews is in the same boat as Gurley after the linebacker revealed he was also scheduled to earn that same bonus the Rams are seemingly withholding.

Gurley and Matthews both are owed fully-guaranteed roster bonuses from the Rams because they were on the active roster on the third day of the new league year. The wait over Gurley's bonus, which comes in at a cool $7.55 million, is likely due to the fact that Rams will be entitled to a partial offset of that money once his deal with the Falcons becomes official.

Even with that, the Rams refusing to pay either of these stars on time is a really bad look for the organization, and this could affect their standing with top free agents down the road.

The fact that two of the most well-liked players in the league are calling out the same franchise for this is telling. Don't expect this to go away until the both of them get paid.
