Clemson running back Travis Etienne surprised a lot of fans when he chose to return to school for his senior season. It's likely that the 21-year-old stud would have waited a while to hear his name called, so a notable final campaign in Death Valley could propel him to a first-round prospect in next year's NFL Draft.

Well, former Tigers star tailback CJ Spiller recently broke down Etienne's future, and let's just say that it will excite Clemson fans.

That quote should scare the living daylights out of the Tigers' scheduled opponents for the upcoming season. With back-to-back 1,600-yard seasons, it seemed impossible to think that Etienne could get better, but Spiller's claims suggest that he's managed to defeat those odds.

Etienne's imposing blend of size, strength and speed is evident, but there are concerns over his lack of versatility as a receiver out of the backfield. However, according to Spiller, college football fans can expect a fully-versed RB in 2020.

Given the limited shelf life on running backs at the pro level, Etienne is certainly making a gamble by returning to Clemson. However, it would probably be foolish to think that it won't work to his benefit.
