CJ Mosley Could Be Placed on Season-Ending IR and That Pretty Much Sums up the Jets' Year

Being a New York Jets fan is like fighting Mike Tyson in his prime. Body blow after body blow wears you down, and then the knockout punch sends you tumbling to the proverbial mat.

If any Jets fans had a smidgen of hope after Sam Darnold saw ghosts and crapped his pants on Monday Night Football against the New England Patriots, injuries on defense will have sapped the remaining optimism away. Star linebacker CJ Mosley, who arrived in town on a five-year deal in the offseason, might miss the rest of the season after re-aggravating an injury on Monday Night.

Mosley, who had made three straight Pro Bowls with the Baltimore Ravens, was a force in their Week 1 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, forcing two of Josh Allen's four turnovers while running back an interception for a touchdown. He exited that game with a groin injury, and the Bills were unstoppable on offense from then on.

Mosley was not 100% in his first game back and clearly further aggravated his injury against the Patriots.

Same. Old. Jets. Like clockwork. Whatever voodoo priestess they pissed off years ago is still working her magic, and this organization remains comically snakebitten.
