Christian McCaffrey Actually Has More Total Yards Than the Jets and That's Insane

Through the first five weeks of the NFL season, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey has been the best player in the league. Nobody can stop him, which is why he already possess a whopping 866 total yards from scrimmage.

That's impressive-- and it's even more extraordinary because it's more total yards than the entire New York Jets team.

I knew the Jets were bad at moving the football in a positive direction, especially without quarterback Sam Darnold, but one player has more yards than your entire team? Come on, you've got Le'Veon Bell out there.

That's beyond embarrassing.

It's hard to reach a consensus as to whether the bigger story here is a potentially historic run from McCaffrey or simply a massive stinker from Gang Green. I'm going to go with a combination of both.

I mean, McCaffrey averages more yards per DRIVE than the woeful Jets, too. It boggles the mind that such a thing could be possible.

With the way he's playing, I wouldn't be surprised if McCaffrey has double the amount of yards as the Jets by the end of the season. You think anything is going to change for New York? It's going to take more than just the return of Sam Darnold to right this ship.
