Chris Jones Plans to Report to Chiefs on Time as His Agents Release Statement
By Michael Luciano

Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones is still looking for a new contract, but his focus isn't squarely on bag securing. In fact, he's tabling his contract demands for the time being and will report to the start of Chiefs camp, quelling the fears of anyone who was scared of a holdout.
Jones' reps released a statement that declares Jones will play out his deal and go to free agency if that's what it will take to get a long-term contract, but he will report to camp with the hopes of winning the Super Bowl this season.
Per the Katz. brothers regarding Chris Jones, who is now reporting to camp on time: “He knows his value and if he has to play out his deal in order to reach free agency, then that’s what he will do. For now, he’s focused on winning a Super Bowl for Kansas City.”

Despite not making the Pro Bowl last season, the former Mississippi State star emerged as one of the best pass-rushers in the game, recording 15.5 sacks.
While Aaron Donald is a clear No. 1 as far as interior lineman go, Jones has a legit case for No. 2 and deserves to be paid as such by Kansas City or any other team willing to splurge on him.
