While often overshadowed by teammates Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs receiver Sammy Watkins still had a big role to play in the offense last year, and showed with his monster performance in Super Bowl LIV.

Unfortunately for Watkins, even that strong contest does't justify his cap hit, which sits at a robust $21 million in 2020. That's doubly difficult for KC to stomach, since they have just $177 to work with, as the draft and free agency approach. Seriously. Just $177.

With Watkins firmly on the block, the Philadelphia Eagles seem to be interested in his services, and the Chiefs receiver seems excited by the possibility, to say the least.

Wear 13, my friend! Wear. 13.

This would be a massive pickup for the Eagles, who, despite winning the NFC East in 2019, were decimated by injuries throughout the season, and got very little production from the receiver position. With Nelson Agholor gone after signing with Las Vegas, and the future of Alshon Jeffery very much up in the air, the addition of the Super Bowl champion would be a welcome asset for Carson Wentz and the Eagles offense.

The Eagles would have to do a little adjusting of their $18 million in cap space to acquire Watkins. However, should the logistics of trade work itself out, it would immediately give the Eagles a significant chance of repeating as NFC East champions for the 2020 NFL season.
