It would appear LeSean McCoy's inability to hold onto the pigskin has landed him in Andy Reid's doghouse. At the same time, Reid appears to be resting his veteran back so he's not out of gas late in the season.

A little less than two hours before their tilt against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs listed Shady as inactive. This makes McCoy a healthy scratch because he wasn't listed on the team's injury report this week.

It's ironic that this decision comes the week after Damien Williams logged his most impressive performance of the season. In KC's Week 9 over the Vikings, Williams rushed for over 100 yards, 91 of which came on one run for the NFL's longest play of the season.

McCoy has looked the better of the two RBs in 2019, but the veteran has coughed up two fumbles in pivotal circumstances. Ironically enough, both of his fumbles came in Chiefs' losses. McCoy will rest up this week and look to bounce back down the stretch.

With McCoy out of action, look for Williams to get even more work for KC against the Titans. Fortunately for them, Patrick Mahomes will make his return from a knee injury, ready to add to his impressive numbers.
