Leave it to the Kansas City Chiefs to surprise us with a pretty head-turning move this late in free agency. On Monday night, seemingly out of nowhere, it was announced that Andy Reid and Co. have brought in Carson Wentz on a one-year deal.

No, he's obviously not going to push for a starting job, as Patrick Mahomes is the leader for this team. However, KC was looking for a solid No. 2 option behind their three-time Super Bowl winning signal-caller and they think they've found that in Wentz.

Wentz was a former first-round pick of the Eagles and he has since suited up for the Colts, Commanders and Rams. Wentz played for Los Angeles last year, appearing in two games for the NFC West side. Now, he'll get ready to make a move to Kansas City, as the Chiefs are hoping to post a three-peat next winter.
