Chiefs Reportedly Re-Signing Former Alabama WR Gehrig Dieter
By Thomas Carannante

The Super Bowl champs are back at work, and they're bringing back a familiar face on the offensive side of the ball.
Wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is reportedly returning to the Kansas City Chiefs after the team waived him from injured reserve with an injury settlement back in September. He then wrapped up the season on the practice squad.
The Chiefs have re-signed WR Gehrig Dieter. He’s back in the fold for further development with the Super Bowl champs after finishing the season on the practice squad.

On top of missing all but two games this past season, Dieter has logged a total of six games with the Chiefs since joining the organization in 2017, and has just one reception for 22 yards. So what gives?
Apparently Dieter is good friends with Patrick Mahomes, so he's got that connection, in addition to proving his worth in college as a solid deep threat with good hands.

But we have to think the Chiefs are bringing him back because of his heroics during the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City. For a guy who spent the entire year on injured reserve and the practice squad, this is true dedication.
The next step for the 26-year-old? Getting some reps with the first-team offense in 2020.
