After Damien Williams' surge down the stretch of the regular season and into the playoffs, this news is hardly surprising.

It's being reported that the Kansas City Chiefs are not expected to re-sign tailback LeSean McCoy this offseason. The 31-year-old veteran will become a free agent on March 18, and he leaves his second Andy Reid experience with a ring for his troubles.

Kansas City surprisingly scooped up Shady on the cusp of the 2019 campaign, and early signs indicated that he would have a significant role in Reid's offense for as long as the team was still kicking.

However, McCoy found himself as a healthy scratch numerous times in the second half of the year, including the Super Bowl.

The six-time Pro Bowler reportedly has no plans to retire, and we'd be surprised if a few teams weren't interested in taking a flier on him as a second-string, passing down specialist.

In fact, NFL insider Mike Garafolo has tabbed the Eagles and Chargers as two teams to keep an eye on in that department.

McCoy rushed 101 times for 465 yards and four touchdowns, adding 181 yards on 28 receptions and an additional score in 13 games with the Chiefs in 2019.
