Chiefs signing Joe Thuney has fired up Patrick Mahomes

As you might have been able to guess, Kansas City Chiefs fans everywhere are ecstatic with the news that the team has gone out and signed Joe Thuney. In case you missed it, the two sides have agreed to a five-year, $80 million deal.

Among those incredibly happy with the news? Go ahead and add Patrick Mahomes to the list, as the superstar quarterback couldn't help but get on Twitter to share how pumped up he is.

It's a short and sweet message from Mahomes, but one that Chiefs fans surely enjoyed. You can't blame Mahomes at all for having this reaction. Thuney was considered one of the top free-agent offensive lineman out there.

Last week, KC supporters were bummed when the team released Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher. Now, nerves are most certainly calmed with Thuney making his way to the team. No one can wait for him to suit up at Arrowhead Stadium.
