The Kansas City Chiefs are stealing headlines. Well, what else is new? On Sunday, headlines indeed have been made with the team agreeing to a one-year contract with former Seattle Seahawks defensive tackle Jarran Reed.

After a superb stay with the Seattle Seahawks, Reed was released earlier this week. Kansas City and general manager Brett Veach then wasted no time in landing his signature. This truly is a giant move for the team.

With Reed joining the Kansas City defense, he'll be a fantastic player to line up next to Chris Jones. Jeez, most teams are undoubtedly jealous of just how strong that defensive line is going to be next season.

Reed is coming off a great year for Seattle. In 2020, he posted 6.5 sacks. Back in 2018, he recorded 50 total tackles and 10.5 sacks. With this latest Reed update, the rich have gotten richer. Chiefs fans should be fired up.
