The Tom Brady-laser pointer saga has finally come to a conclusion. At least from a legal standpoint, anyway.

The Kansas City Chiefs fan who shined a laser pointer at Brady during January's AFC Championship Game has been fined $500 after pleading guilty to disturbing the peace.

Dwyan Morgan, the man behind the infamous green dot that appeared on Brady's person as he was driving the Patriots down the field and into Chiefs territory, was banned from Arrowhead Stadium for life as a result of the incident.

Back in May, Morgan remained adamant that he wouldn't apologize for the incident. That might rightfully ruffle the feathers of some fans, but in the grand scheme of things, nothing more came of it, and Morgan now has to live with the consequences of his actions.

Laser pointers can pose an injury risk to they eyes or distract players from game action. Neither of those outcomes came to fruition, but there's no question that such things cannot be tolerated at an NFL venue.

Hopefully, the entire situation that Morgan has had to endure will act as a deterrent to other fans who would otherwise consider doing something similarly stupid in the hopes of giving their team an extra leg up.
