The good news continues to roll in for the Kansas City Chiefs and Andy Reid. After downing the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship Game, Kansas City is headed to the Super Bowl for the first time in 50 years.

And when they take the field in Miami against the San Francisco 49ers, stud defensive tackle Chris Jones will be good to go. That's because, despite battling a concerning calf injury this postseason, he didn't re-injure himself in that win over Tennessee.

The 6-6, 310-pounder has been a force in the trenches this year for the Chiefs, posting eight sacks. In Sunday's win over Tennessee, he fought through the pain in his calf and recorded two tackles.

Chiefs fans were certainly worried Jones might have done some damage to his injured calf in his return to the gridiron, but the opposite proved to be the case. Reid made it clear his lineman is healthy and ready to rock for when the Vince Lombardi Trophy will be on the line.

With everything up for grabs in an all-new, one-game season on Feb. 2, Jones will surely see his plays go up. And he'll do so close to full health.
