Chiefs Breakout 6th-Round RB Darwin Thompson is Impressively Jacked

It took a while for a challenger to appear, but Seattle Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf finally has some competition for the title of being the most ripped rookie in the NFL this year.

Kansas City Chiefs running back and 2019 sixth-round draft pick Darwin Thompson is ridiculously jacked.

Opposing defenders are probably better of just stepping out of the way, because if they get stiff-armed, there's absolutely no chance that they're going to survive. He legitimately looks like a rock.

Thompson isn't only skilled at hitting the gym, though. He was a standout contributor on offense in his junior year at Utah State. He appeared in 13 games for the Aggies during his only year playing, totaling 1,395 yards from scrimmage, 16 total touchdowns and 7.9 yards per carry.

His profile from the NFL combine says that he "possesses good power in hips and thighs," though that quite honestly sounds like a severe understatement of the truth.

Saying something along the lines of "possesses the musculature of a professional weight lifter" probably would have been a bit more fair to him.

The Chiefs got quite a steal in terms of physique with Thompson. The only question that remains is whether or not his muscles translate into in-game success in 2019 and beyond.
