A rumor that the Los Angles Chargers were considering a relocation to London spread like wild fire across the online universe late Monday night.

But by midday on Tuesday, Chargers owner Dean Spanos took time to issue an explicit response to the rumor.

Spanos didn't hold back when addressing the potential move, emphatically stomping on its grave.

The Chargers have already recently relocated to Los Angeles from San Diego in 2017, of course, and despite the team's sparse local fan base, Spanos appears to be adamant that he has no plans of changing cities once again.

As if Spanos' tirade wasn't enough, the Chargers' official Twitter account appears to be following his lead by posting a NSFW response to all of the speculation regarding the Chargers' rumored move overseas.

There are a number of issues that would result from moving an NFL franchise from the United States to England. Divisions would have to be rearranged, scheduling would be a nightmare, and televised games in a completely different time zone would certainly not benefit from boffo ratings.

Spanos seems to be genuinely upset by this whole situation. He has a right to be, if he is, in fact, telling the truth. The Chargers' relationships with sponsorship partners could be seriously damaged if the sponsors don't believe that the team is going to be around for the long haul.

A move to London would be bizarre for both the NFL and the Chargers. All we can do is hope that Spanos is being truthful with his assertion that his team won't be leaving Los Angeles any time soon, and will instead be getting more entrenched in the market.
