From the moment he made his return to his alma mater, head coach Jim Harbaugh said he wanted to make history with the Wolverines and bring home a National Championship to Ann Arbor. Mission accomplished. Now, Harbaugh can leave a winner.
And he'll be doing just that, as news broke on Thursday night that he's been hired as new head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers. The Atlanta Falcons also had interest in Harbaugh, but he'll be in the AFC West starting next season.
From the moment Michigan won the title over Washington, buzz grew that perhaps a return to the NFL was in the cards for Harbaugh. Fans all over Los Angeles are excited to see what he and Justin Herbert can get done together in Year 1.
