It's no secret that the Los Angeles Chargers have one of the worst home field advantages in the NFL.

At home games, fans of other teams often assert their dominance and personify the majority of the noise inside Dignity Health Sports Park. Well, the Chargers are set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City on Monday Night Football, and they are ironically shaping up to have a significant upper hand.

Per Pete Grathoff of The Kansas City Star, Chargers fans bought some 40,000 tickets, which is almost half of the arena's capacity (87,523), for the game.

Local fans in LA can't cough up the funds to go cheer on an immensely talented team, but Chargers fanatics hundreds of miles from La La Land are more than willing to go watch their squad play on a soccer field in a different country.

Even with the heart of the Chargers' fan base being in San Diego, it's a 31-hour drive to Mexico City's Estadio Azteca, compared to just a two-hour drive up to Los Angeles. Yet, somehow, fans are showing up by the masses for the clash south of the border, while failing to attend games in Los Angeles.

These reported mind-boggling figures might be viewed as surprising to some, but they just confirmed our long pondered notion that the city of Los Angeles doesn't deserve the Chargers.

At least the field is in suitable condition for an NFL game this year.
