Chad Johnson Claims He's Helping Heat Recruit Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal to Miami
By Jared Kish

The possibility that Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal both get traded this NBA offseason is real. The idea that they'd both go to the Miami Heat, however, is unlikely-- unless Chad Johnson gets his way.
Working as an "outside representative" for the Heat -- that's how he's framing it on Twitter -- the wide receiver formerly known as Ochocinco is doing his level best to try to get a couple of the NBA's best guards to play in his native south Florida.
Update: I’ve been working diligently as an outside representative for the Miami Heat in this recruiting process, due to my minimal basketball background I’m relying on personal friendships to persuade @russwest44 & @RealDealBeal23 to come home.

The scenario that is most likely to happen? Westbrook heading to the Heat, as there are increasing signs that the Oklahoma City Thunder would prefer to rebuild around Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and rid themselves of the 30-year-old guard's supermax contract in the process, one that still has $170 million left to pay out over four years.
The Heat have been rumored to be favorites to land Westbrook if he does get dealt. With the Thunder already sending Paul George to the Clippers, Sam Presti and Co. certainly aren't afraid to deal All-NBA talent.
Guys, just slow your roll on Bradley Beal to the Heat. Every indication I have is the Wizards have no intention of trading him and even if they did, I have no idea what Miami could possibly give up that would come close to the best offer for him.

Westbrook may find himself in a Heat uniform next year, but it's less likely that Beal will do the same. The Washington Wizards have no specific incentive to trade him to Miami. The Heat don't have the kind of assets that they'd want, and Beal's contract isn't an albatross like Westbrook's; he's only due a tidy $55.8 million total over the next two seasons
Ochocinco can and will do his best to persuade Russ and Beal to position themselves for a move to Miami, but he shouldn't hold his breath. He ought to celebrate if the team can manage to find just one star to join Jimmy Butler in South Beach.
