Is Carlos Correa made of glass?
The Houston Astros are loaded and marching towards what they hope is a second World Series win in three seasons. Yet, the only thing that can derail them at this juncture is fully out of their control, and Houston knows it.
This is why their stud shortstop leaving an August matchup with the lowly Detroit Tigers is less than ideal.

Houston has yet to give a reason for Correa's exit.
Correa is an MVP-candidate when healthy, but unfortunately his chances at putting together a full season seem slim at best given the recent trend. Just this past May, Correa injured his rib in a massage and was forced out of action for several weeks. That's just one in a long line of ailments that have kept the 24-year-old out of action in his young career, although it has yet to really come back and bite the Astros at this point.

Houston is deep enough to sustain the loss of Correa for now, but long-term it could serve as an issue should Jack Mayfield be forced to fill-in.
Correa is batting .279 with 19 home runs and 56 RBI in 71 games this season.
