The St. Louis Cardinals (63-55) kick off a huge series on Thursday with the Reds (56-63), looking to maintain their spot atop the NL Central. Cincinnati is coming off a series loss via the sweep with the Nationals, while the Cardinals are looking to build on a five-game win streak.

How to Live Stream Reds vs Cardinals

First pitch for the series opener is set for 7:10 p.m. ET from Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati. The game will be broadcast locally Fox Sports-Midwest and Fox Sports-Ohio. You can also stream the game via the MLB Streams subreddit.

Cardinals Lineup

Right-hander Michael Wacha will get the start for the Cardinals in Thursday's series opener. Wacha has split time this year as both a starter and reliever for St. Louis, and hasn't exactly been very successful. In his last start against the Dodgers, he allowed six runs through just 3.2 innings, resulting in his fifth loss of the season.

The one redeeming aspect of Wacha's game is his ability to win in Cincinnati. He's won seven straight appearances when pitching at the Great American Ball Park.

Reds Lineup

Most of the Reds' regular starters will be back in the lineup after getting a day off Wednesday vs the Nats.

Sonny Gray will go on the mound for Cincy, looking to build on a successful month of August. Through 13 innings in two starts this month, Gray has allowed just six hits and no runs. The Reds have only lost three games in the right-hander's last 12 outings.
