A Week 5 matchup between two Pac-12 teams is scheduled for Friday night as the Cal Bears face the Arizona State Sun Devils. The Sun Devils will attempt to give the Bears their first loss of the season.

Cal has one of the better defenses in all of the Pac-12. Their solid combination of a strong pass rush and run defense has resulted them in surrendering just 17 points per game. They'll present a tall task for the Arizona State offense.

As for the Golden Bears' offense, they're led by QB Chase Garbers who has thrown seven touchdown passes to two interceptions.

Freshman quarterback Jayden Daniels has been sensational for the Sun Devils. He had 345 yards and two touchdowns against Colorado and looks composed under center. On the year he's up to five touchdown passes and has rushed for one more.

Cal is favored by 4.5 points, but ASU may have enough fire to survive and get themselves a big win on the road.
