Spring training isn't going quite to plan for the Minnesota Twins and center fielder Byron Buxton. That's because the man had to have a root canal following a steak accident? Unfortunately, that was the case.

This week, the Twins announced Buxton is away from the team because he indeed chipped his tooth while eating a steak and had to get a root canal. Absolutely brutal.

Fortunately for the veteran outfielder, he's not expected to miss extensive time and should be all ready to rock for Minnesota's Opening Day. Last campaign, Buxton hit .254 with 13 home runs and 27 RBI during the shortened 60-game season.

Looking ahead to this campaign, Minnesota has hopes of once again winning the AL Central, as they out-battled Cleveland and Chicago in the division last season. Should they go on to repeat in capturing the AL Central crown, Buxton will surely play a big role in making that happen.
