Per The Athletic, Posey is all set to announce his retirement on Thursday. This really feels like it's coming out of nowhere.

Posey and the Giants finished with the best record in baseball during the regular season. It looked like the team was all set to go on a World Series run. Instead, the Dodgers took them down in the NLDS. Despite that, Posey has been sensational while with SF. Fans will always adore him.
