Bills' Last Playoff Win Came So Long Ago That Wild Card Weekend May as Well Be the Super Bowl

The Buffalo Bills are by no means the sexiest team in the league, but they managed to scratch and claw their way into the postseason for the second time in Sean McDermott's three seasons as head coach.

Buffalo, as devotees will note, has the fourth-longest playoff win drought in the NFL. The Bills actually haven't won a postseason game since the Clinton administration. Yes, folks, 1995.

Even if Buffalo only wins one game this postseason, the Bills will have pulled off arguably their single most satisfying victories in a quarter-century. There may as well be a parade in Orchard Park even if the Divisional Round is as far as this team goes.

That's just how miserable things have been over the years.

Buffalo got to this point on the back of a stifling defense led by All-Pro cornerback Tre'Davious White and the increasingly positive play of second-year quarterback Josh Allen. They may not be the most aesthetically pleasing team to watch, but they get the job done.

Buffalo fans, notoriously crazy and passionate, have already started to invade downtown Houston as they prepare to watch the best Bills team since the days of Jim Kelly and Marv Levy take the field against Deshaun Watson and the Texans.

Buffalo has seen plenty of heartbreak in the postseason over the last few decades, but with Allen at quarterback and McDermott's swarming defense, there is a chance 25 years of agony can finally come to an end.
