The Buffalo Bills have some lofty expectations to live up to in 2020. After making the playoffs last season, the Bills are the compelling favorites to win the AFC East title, thanks in large part to the dismantling of the New England Patriots dynasty.

When you look at the Bills' depth chart, howver, they're arguably the most well-rounded team in the NFL, which means that upwardly mobile players have a special chance to benefit greatly from this supporting cast. With that in mind, running back Devin Singletary fits the bill -- no pun intended -- as a possible breakout player this year.

Singletary was an explosive running back at Florida Atlantic. If you needed evidence, look no further than his sophomore year in 2017, where he rushed for 1,918 yards and 32 touchdowns on 301 carries. The Bills took Singletary in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and he made an impact despite splitting carries with seasoned veteran Frank Gore.

In 12 games (eight starts), Singletary rushed for 775 yards and two touchdowns. Even though those stats aren't the sexiest, you have to take into consideration that he averaged 5.1 yards per carry, tied with Derrick Henry for the most among starting running backs in the NFL. Additionally, Singletary broke 36 tackles in 2019, the third-most out of all rookie running backs.

Entering his second NFL year, he no longer has to split carries with Gore, as he's now with the rival New York Jets. Singletary is now the undisputed No. 1 running back on the roster. If he can run the ball like he did last season, he'll alleviate the defensive pressure off quarterback Josh Allen and new wide receiver Stefon Diggs and take the Bills offense to new heights.

Watch out, AFC East. This kid could be a problem for you in 2020.
