Browns TE David Njoku Returns From Injured Reserve Amid Recovery From Broken Wrist

With the Cleveland Browns finally starting to turn the corner -- Thursday Night Melee notwithstanding -- it looks like some more offensive help for quarterback Baker Mayfield is on the way.
On Wednesday morning, Cleveland announced former first-round pick David Njoku has been designed to return from injured reserve and will immediately hit the practice field. Yup, the big-bodied tight end is back.
The #Browns have designed TE David Njoku to return from Injured Reserve and will practice today, the team said. He’s recovering from a broken wrist and this is a big step.

The 6-4, 245-pounder has been out since the Week 2 win over the Jets with his wrist injury. In his two appearances this season, Njoku has four receptions, 37 yards and one touchdown to his name.
Obviously, breaking his wrist so early in the campaign was frustrating for the former Miami Hurricanes standout, but the 23-year-old tight end is a key part of this offense when healthy. And with the Browns winning back-to-back games, his return couldn't be more timely for the organization.
U betcha ass you’ll see me there❗️ https://t.co/3GS3tvmcLk

This Sunday, the Browns will look to improve to 5-6 on the year at home against the lowly Dolphins. Miami's defense has been perforated like swiss cheese throughout the year, so if Njoku is suited up come Week 12, he could announce his return with a bang.
