Kareem Hunt made his long-awaited (and controversial) return to the gridiron on Sunday for the Cleveland Browns in their clash against the Buffalo Bills.

After serving his eight-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, Hunt was given a significant role by head coach Freddie Kitchens. He saw the field for 38 of a possible 70 snaps, and touched the ball 11 times. The Toledo product rushed four times for 30 yards, and added 44 yards through the air on seven receptions.

Hunt was everything Cleveland could have asked for after not seeing the field for so long, and general manager John Dorsey extended his gratitude by gifting the 24-year-old tailback a rock, so that he "stays solid."

Only the Browns, right? Dorsey easily could have conveyed his message to Hunt without gifting him a block of granite, but he apparently thought the gesture would be more authentic by presenting an actual gift to the former Pro Bowler.

The symbolism, though somewhat elementary, does make sense, as Hunt will likely receive his fair share of jeers for the remainder of the season. Dorsey is insinuating that he'll need to remain "solid" and not succumb to the adversity.

Well, the former third-round pick appeared to appreciate Dorsey's message, as the rock is still kicking in his locker.

We'd like to say that we're surprised, but these are the things you come to expect from the Browns after their rollercoaster 2019 season.

Anything, like GMs gifting their players a rock, is possible.
