Strap in, folks. We are a little over an hour away until the mayhem that is NBA free agency is set to launch.

However, the Milwaukee Bucks are reportedly not waiting much longer after the 6 p.m. ET initiation to lock up Brook Lopez. Per Adrian Wojnarowski, the former All-Star is expected to sign a four-year deal worth up to $52 million to remain in Milwaukee as soon as the clock strikes the top of the hour.

Lopez's 2018-19 season can best be described as up-and-down, but he ultimately proved to be a crucial component of the Bucks' core that saw an ascension to the NBA's best record and run to the Eastern Conference Finals.

For the year, Brook averaged 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds while shooting 45.2% from the floor. Where he surprisingly showed his worth, however, was behind the 3-point line. The 7-foot big man shot the three at a 36.5% clip, consistently knocking down big shots for head coach Mike Budenholzer.

On top of it all, Lopez was serviceable on the defensive end of the floor despite an established reputation as a sub-par defender, perfectly complimenting the versatility of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Eric Bledsoe in that ever-important department.

Truth be told, we couldn't picture Brook spending the rest of his productive seasons in the league anywhere else but Wisconsin given how natural of a fit he was last season under Coach Bud.
