Broncos Adding to Drew Lock's War Chest With Former College Teammate in 4th Round is Low-Key Brilliant

The Denver Broncos are trying to provide Drew Lock with as much help as possible and their fourth-round selection was the epitome of that goal.

Denver added Lock's former teammate at Missouri, tight end Albert Okwuegbunam.

And he's an absolute beast.

The Missouri product will add to a Broncos' draft class that is already STACKED with offensive playmakers. In the first round, the team selected Alabama wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who was a consensus top pass catcher in the draft. Then, in the second round, Denver doubled down on receiver and added Penn State prospect KJ Hamler.

Add Okwuegbunam and that's a scary sight for opposing defenses. With Lock at the helm, the tight end hit the end zone 17 times in two seasons for Missouri. That just shows how scary this duo can be inside the 20 for years to come, especially if Noah Fant helps the incoming rookie get open.

With offensive help on the way, the Broncos look ready to help their defense out by scoring some points, something they've been missing since Peyton Manning retired. If Lock and Co. can produce anything close to that, it should be a fun season in the Mile High City.
