Major League Baseball has to get creative if it wants the 2020 season to be played at all. One plan floated around was having all teams play in Arizona. The latest proposal to hit the news was splitting the teams between Arizona and Florida and realigning the divisions based on location.

The new divisions would be weird to see, but some teams would benefit in a big way. The Milwaukee Brewers stand to benefit the most based on which teams would be in the team's realigned division.

The only real competition for the Brewers would be the Texas Rangers. The Kansas City Royals and Seattle Mariners are both rebuilding and were among the worst teams in baseball last season. Then there is the San Diego Padres, a last-place team in 2019 that doesn't project to be much better in 2020.

The Rangers are still a distant second from the Brewers after finishing 78-84 in 2019. Failed pursuits of Anthony Rendon and Josh Donaldson leave the Rangers without any major upgrades this year outside of the acquisition of Corey Kluber.

This new divisional setup would be weird, but it may be the only way baseball is played in 2020. Brewers fans would also see the team set up for success before the first game is even played. The team would avoid the St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs and could be the only team in the division to finish with a winning record.
