The MLB offseason is officially underway and we already have a trade!

On Monday, the Milwaukee Brewers and Toronto Blue Jays reportedly worked out a deal to send pitcher Chase Anderson north of the border.

While the Brew Crew have a need for starting pitching, Anderson has regressed over the last two seasons and finished 8-4 with a 4.21 ERA in 32 games (27 starts) in 2019. He carried an $8.5 million team option for the 2020 season and Robert Murray also noted that Milwaukee was considering declining it to use that money for another player.

After all, the Brewers need to reassess and spend their money wisely because their championship window isn't exactly wide open. Another big-name starter or bat could really put the squad over the edge as they look to savor the remaining years of Christian Yelich.

As for the Blue Jays, they get an experienced arm in Anderson to join a young rotation that features Trent Thornton, Anthony Kay, Jacob Waguespack and TJ Zeuch.
