After recent rumors flew all over the place, it seems the Milwaukee Brewers are going old school for the 2020 season and it could not be a better idea.

The Brew Crew reportedly have a new logo for next campaign and the nostalgia is flowing through the entire heartland.

The Brewers will use a logo very similar to the one they used between 1978 and 1993, though it appears to have a couple of minor changes.

The only big one is that this is a much darker blue than the one the Brewers used in the good old days. Besides that, if you look at the corresponding article, you'll notice the baseball within the glove has proper stitching, and the "m" and "b" are connected through the webbing of the glove.

Not to say good performances are historically tied to good uniforms, but the Brewers were at their best with the original glove logo. They came within one win of capturing the 1982 World Series, and came within a win of the ALCS the year before that.

With eventual Hall of Famers Robin Yount, Paul Molitor and Rollie Fingers, the team won 90 or more games five times, and finished over .500 10 times in that 16-year span.

It's a good time for a fresh start in Milwaukee after the team's devastating Wild Card Game loss to the Washington Nationals. The Brewers made a historic run in 2018 that saw them fall just short of reaching the World Series. On the back of Christian Yelich and some old-school style, the Brewers will have hope next spring, summer and potentially fall.
