Did you really think the New England Patriots were going to go into next season without a contract extension for Tom Brady?

Initial reports suggested just that, but just like every year when the Pats start things off slow, the doubters take all the information available at face value without considering who the Patriots actually are.

According to the latest buzz, New England was finalizing an agreement on a contract extension with Brady Sunday, as first reported by NFL insider Field Yates.

Brady signed a two-year, $30 million extension prior to the 2018 season and was entering this year with a $14 million base salary, which is extremely low for a quarterback of his caliber. Now, per Ian Rapoport, new terms have been agreed.

Brady is a team-first guy and knows a mammoth QB contract will hamstring the front office from adding talent all over the roster in hopes of defending their Super Bowl title. With Bill Belichick running the personnel and Brady still playing at a high level despite being 42 years old, the champs are very much still here.

Stay tuned for the official details once the details of the deal are revealed. Suffice to say TB12 is getting paid.
