A 162-game MLB season means teams need to find ways to make the broadcasts fun and interactive for fans. The Atlanta Braves found a great personality in Kelsey Wingert who was able to connect with the team and the fans to bring flair to every broadcast.

That's why Braves fans are a bit confused about Wingert apparently being let go by the team ahead of the 2020 season.

Wingert's Twitter bio still says she is with the team and there was no indication she was on her way out until the story dropped from The Athletic. There's already a petition going around on Twitter to keep her in Atlanta.

This appears to be a developing story and one that may not be fully told until Wingert acknowledges the news herself. Regardless, Braves fans are already unhappy with the news and this is a wildly unpopular decision made seemingly for no good reason.
